We have some authentic rock here folks. Definitely take a couple of minutes to check out this new one from The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, “Black Mold”. Has that garage feel to it, with a little more style, and total rawness…

With the Release of their New Single “Asunder”, Fang Island is a Pure Rock Band of Today

What a way to start my day, and yours as well. Honestly, it’s the first time for me hearing the upbeat, uplifting, melodic sounds of Fang Island. You know how I like to try to find the mother and father of a sound that is new to me, or better yet who they may have been influenced by (pretty much on the sound they make, and who it reminds me of. Well, we got another combo here… I would say in the new single, “Asunder”, from their upcoming album Major, sounds a little like some Shins on 4 cups of coffee, and for a sweetener have a little Killers flavor as well as for the creamer some Jimmy Eat World. This is a must check out song, and album… I guarantee that I will be picking it up (7/24), cuz this is again, some damn amazing feel-good rock band of our time.

Black Keys do Work

Their music video for “Gold On The Ceiling” is not yet released (well it is, but on a so called music video channel/site, which has tuned into a 24/7 reality show channel), so I thought that this amazing performance on the Letterman show would do more than fine for now.
The Black Keys have brought rock ‘n’ roll back to the 2000′s, and have people all over dying to see them play live. Well they will be playing across the U.S. beginning in March. Hoping they will sneak in or extend a show in Cali…
