Finally I had the opportunity to see the amazing Dr. Dog live in concert. I happened to be in the bay area for the celebration this past Friday, April 20, at Golden Gate Park (San Francisco), when I got a call from my middle brotherLevi, that the next day, Dr. Dogwas giving a free show on UC Berkeley campus… well, I had to stick around for this, since I hadn’t seen them yet, and on top of that who can pass up a free show?!?
“Shadow People”
(sorry for the sound quality)
The sunburn was worth it! From beginning to end, the members of Dr. Dog continued to entertain the crowd of cheerful fans as everyone sang along to their psychedelic, spirit lifting music.
I Can’t wait to catch them again at Outside Lands this summer, August 10-12 in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. See you there!
Dr. Dog fans are eagerly awaiting for the release of the bands 6th album, “Be the Void”. Originally from Philadelphia, Dr. Dog has been around the world energetically entertaining fans at festivals such as Coachella and High Sierra for over 10 years. Their psychedelic rock sound gets people up dancing, just letting the music take over.
With the new album “Be the Void”, Dr. Dog goes for more of a rock ‘n’ roll flavor rather than their familiar pop-funk-rock-jam band sound.
See them at the 22nd annual High Sierra Festival in Quincy, CA on June 5-8.
