Great way to end your Friday, and to start you long weekend off with some new music from Faye. Such a hot voice that flows over the sweet harmonious rhythm that will having you melting away in seconds. Whether you’re going to be lounging by the pool this weekend, or taking a Sunday drive, turn up the volume, and blast some Faye.
Definitely check out this new video from Tech N9ne, even if you’re not a fan. “The Noose” features Mayday, and starts off with Tech N9ne talking about his travels over to perform for our soldiers in Kuwait. Felix the Hat, Live Music City, high hopes!
Alexis Krauss is so freaking amazing live in concert, and if you can’t see them perform, this is a great up and close version of what Sleigh Bells is like up on stage. Check out “Demons”, I have a feeling you’ll be blasting it this weekend if you do…
Today, Stereogum premiered the a song from Los Angeles band Jail Weddings, “Good Book”. Dark, melodic, with the punk foundations behind it. Get their new EP Four Future Standards, which is now on Neurotic Yell Records.
Enjoy! Felix the Hat, Live Music City, high hopes!
Things have gone crazy-good for 2 Chains (features, appearances, tours, etc.), since this past year at SXSW. Probably one of the dopest artists in the game right now, and with his upcoming album release, Based on a T.R.U. Story- available August 14 (the most anticipated album of summer 2012), 2 Chainz sat down with Karen Civil (who I had the honor of meeting this past SXSW at “From the blocks to blogs” panel), on KarmaLoop Tv to discuss a handful of topics. Enjoy the video and the humbleness you experience from 2 Chainz, as he takes a break from the Club Paradise Tour.
I did a little piece on Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs last month, and didn’t expect to hear anything else from the new album until it dropped, 6/12. But today, I was excitedly surprised with “Stronger”, which has an uptempo 80′s feel to it, that will have you singing and bouncing along. I uploaded a video which features Orlando Higginbottom, who is the man behind T-E-E-D (Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs), and after watching it, I have to say that I am way more into his productions. Amazing project coming up, as well as more shows in the next year. Listen to “Stronger” above, and watch the video on T-E-E-D. below… if you’re stressed for time, go to 9 mins 35 secs, and watch as he speaks about the new release.
I went to sleep last night and had watched some old skate videos prior, which is an absolute amazing coincidence that the first music video I brought up today was “Poison”, from the Thieving Irons. The video includes Nate Martinez, the singer, as well as some kids thrashing through a skate park, some woman beating the hell out of a tv (which never gets old), a couple of old folks, and hot ginger parading around in her bedroom. Well done video and song that flows with it… take a gander, I recommend it. Felix the Hat, Live Music City, high hopes!
