Well friends, it’s time again for the song, and this time video of the day. “I see a Darkness” has been released by Bonnie “Prince” Billy, and it will catch and pull you in like a used car salesman, but in the best way possible. From the start to the finish, such a good one that I happened to catch today, and you can’t help but imagine that this would be great live, and seems like a lead-off album starter. The video is so crisp and refreshing, the amazingness of black & white film exposure may seem overdone, but here, just adds to the warmth of the song. I will definitely be getting the album, Now Here’s My Plan, July 24. Watch “I See a Darkness” Here… Did you think this is “song of the day” worthy? Felix the Hat, Live Music City, high hopes!
It’s really good music, they’re just singing in Hindi (I believe), and I don’t speak a lick of it. I just know that the music is fun, and different from most Indian music I have heard that has to do with Bollywood and such. Hope you enjoy!
I think we have all been waiting for such a biopic to come around with a well-known musician/actor to play the role of legend Jimmy Hendrix. Just look at the picture, does Andre 3000 not look like he could be Jimmy‘s brother?!! Well, he is set to play Hendrix in the upcoming biopic that takes place during the time of ’66-’67, when Jimmy was working on his debut album, Are You Experienced.
Think they look alike? Keep an eye out for the previews…
Vol. 1, which will be released May 22, is a current project Collin Caulfield and Young Man have been working hard on. You can definitely tell the work he put in as you hear the new song “Go”, that was released today from the upcoming album. Love the subtle approach that Caulfield showed in this song. He slows things up and speeds them back up, to give you that surprise, burst of energy your needing.
Take a listen below…
A few days ago he dropped the video for “4Eva N A Day”, today Big K.R.I.T. gives us another sick video, this time for his song “I Got This”. I’m sure he’s just going to keep dropping ‘em, so keep your eyes open.
Ben Folds Five is back together and fans excited and are anticipating their reunion album, which still has no release date. However, today they have released an up tempo tune with saloon like piano riffs, and a bold bass line that holds it all down. At first I wanted to say it reminded me one of the Phish songs where they get all country, and you just feel like slappin’ your knee as you bounce around… Then I could hear the old Ben Folds Five I remembered… and as the piano gets faster, I imagined myself in a bar fight with some other cowboys (yes, saw myself as one), as we had a dispute over a game of poker in one of those old country saloons. Hey, maybe there’s an idea for their first video for the album.

Was very excited this morning after hearing the new single “Take A Walk” from Passion Pit‘s new upcoming album Gossamer, which will be available July 24. Hoping that the rest of Passion Pit‘s new album will be similar to “Take A Walk” since it puts you in such a great mood. You know good music when you’re feeling a case of the Mondays, and all it takes is a good tune to get you right back where you need to be. This is what Passion Pit did for me this morning, which is why I recommend you to check them out.
Just this morning, Tyga released the official music video for “Still Got It”, featuring Drake, who is not present in the actual video, due to being on tour.
