Dr. John releases new song, “Revolution” feat. Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys

What an amazing sound these two have created, Dr. John and Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys that is. I feel as if this project belongs in the next Kill Bill movie soundtrack (cough, cough, hey Quentin, any ideas come to mind?). They mix the sound of an old pipe organ (which is actually a Farfisa), with a roaring baritone sax to bring this bluesy-jazzy-rock-funk creation to life. If you mixed the Doors with some Motown, and dipped them in a side of New Orleans, you’d get Dr. John’s “Revolution”. You must check out this new Dr. John song now!

A.Dd+ Killed It Last Night At The Fulton 55, In Fresno, CA.

After seeing Dallas’ hottest rap duo, A.Dd+ live at SXSW in Austin, TX., I had the pleasure of meeting Slim Gravy of A.Dd+ after the show. We chilled for a minute, spoke about their tour dates, and realized that they would be in Fresno within the next week.

Last night, Slim Gravy and Paris Pershun, who together make-up A.Dd+, made quite an appearance in Fresno, CA., at the Fulton 55, opening for Black Milk. They woke Fresno up, got the crowd out of their seats, and gave one hell of a show! After their performance, I ran into Slim Gravy (Dionte Rembert), upstairs, and surprisingly he remembered our conversation in Austin. Real good dudes, and great rap artists! See you next time around, and stay fresh!

New NAS- “The Don”

Must have been so focused on the shows at SXSW, that I skipped over the release of the new NAS track, “The Don”. According to NAS, Heavy D, RIP, did the production for this beat before he passed. Well, hope you enjoy!
