After Mr. Jack White called it quits almost a year ago, he quickly comes out of retirement to give us a sneak peek from his newly anticipated album ‘Blunderbus’. Jack White has made some incredible music yet again, “Love interruption” may be a lighter side to the guitar hero as we know him, but equally melodic. Jack White handled the production at his personal studio, Third Man Studio in Nashville, TN. as well. The nonalbum B-side is “Machine Gun Silhouette” and is only available for purchase at the moment, but we will let you know when we get it. See him this spring at the Sasquatch Festival with Tenacious D, and Beck! http://www.hitfix.com/blogs/immaculate-noise/posts/sasquatch-music-festival-jack-white-tours-tenacious-ds-new-album-and-is-beck-back
ScHoolboy Q is making a name for himself in the hip-hop world. He has teamed up with A$ap Rocky on the track “Hands on the Wheel”, which come from his new mixtape ‘Habits and Contradictions’, which was released this past July. According to GlobalGrind, Originally from Los Angeles, California, ScHoolboy claims to be a “Black Hippy”, which he says means “No rules and doing what you want to do”, in music of course.
‘Nehru Jackets’, is the first solo mix by Das Racists’ Heems (Himanshu). His beats are uniquely produced by Mike Finto with samples of Punjabi vocals over 90′s boom-bap. Check out the new song “Womyn”…
Atlantic City, NJ, June 23 and 24, Metallica will headline both nights of the Orion Music Festival, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the ‘Black Album’. Hetfield, Ulrich, Hammett, and Trujillo will play the entire ‘Black Album’ night one, and all of ‘Ride the Lightning’ night two. With Metallica celebrating their 30th birthday last year, they still know how to rock and put on a good show. Just hoping that when I’m James or Lars’ age, that I will have as much energy and passion as they do.
Finally some visuals from what we know to be Jay’s favorite track off “Watch The Throne” album. All footage is from their Staples Center show, off of their tour. I wish they would have done something different but it still is pretty cool. I should have went to one of the shows and this definitely made me feel that.
